Pay your pension some attention!

Sep 8, 2022
Organisations from across the pensions industry are joining forces this autumn/winter to help you understand your pension and get your retirement plans on target.

Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Pension Awareness has decided to postpone the live shows. The events have now been rescheduled for Monday 31 October to Friday 4 November 2022.

Pension Awareness has stated that this change will not affect the order of the timetable or any bookings you may have made:

'To mitigate the impact of the rearrangement and any inconvenience it may cause, we have automatically shifted all booking registrations for our Pension Awareness live shows to the week commencing the 31 October.

That means, for instance, that if you had booked on to the session 'How much pension do I need?' — originally scheduled to air on Monday 12 September at 12:30pm — you will now automatically be registered to attend the rearranged slot on Monday 31 October at the same time.

If you find that you have other availability, you can still make bookings for the new dates.'

The first ever Pension Engagement Season takes place between September and November 2022. It aims to help pension savers learn more about how pensions work and how to track down any ‘forgotten’ pension pots.

The season starts with Pensions Awareness Week, from 12-16 September, where you have the chance to join live TV shows on a range of pensions topics, ask questions of pensions experts and get access to lots of useful resources.

Other events taking place throughout the season include National Pensions Tracing Day on 30 October and Talk Money Week, which takes place from 7-11 November.

You’ll also be able to follow the #PensionAttention campaign on social media throughout Pension Engagement Season to get handy tips and information on your pensions, plus updates on pensions-related topics and events.

And, of course, make sure to check this website regularly and follow us on Twitter at @BTPPensionFund to get all the latest news, tips and insights to help you manage your pension more effectively.

Your pension can have a huge impact on your future and how you enjoy life once you stop working. So give it the attention it deserves!
