Good Money Week and Sustainable Ownership

Oct 3, 2023
It's Good Money Week (2-8 October), a great opportunity to understand how your money is managed, with sustainability in mind.

Good Money Week is an annual campaign promoting awareness around sustainability and ethical responsibility in finance. In the Fund (BTPFSF), environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors form a key part of our investment decisions. We call this Sustainable Ownership.

What is Sustainable Ownership (SO)?

SO means encouraging the companies we invest in to have responsible corporate practices, effective risk and control structures, and a healthy workplace culture. We believe companies with these characteristics are better placed to manage risks and make the most of opportunities presented by ESG factors. This, in turn, means these companies are more likely to achieve the best, long-term financial performance - helping us to enhance long-term investment returns for members.

You can learn all about our approach to Sustainable Ownership and what it means for you by reading the latest Sustainable Ownership Report 2021.
