Have your say in how we communicate about your pension

Based on member feedback, we’re planning some changes to the ways we communicate about your pension and we need your help to get it right.

 

We’re holding an online focus group on Tuesday, 24 September, where you can talk directly to members of our Communications Team and let them know how you’d prefer to hear from us in future.  

The session will take place on Microsoft Teams from 10am and is expected to last no more than 2 hours.  

If you’re keen to take part, please let us know by emailing railpencommunications@railpen.com before 5pm on Monday, 16 September.   

Full details on how to join the focus group will then be sent to you in advance of the session.  

The changes we’re currently considering to the way we communicate include: 

  • altering the format and frequency of your member newsletters
  • sending more email updates
  • replacing our social media, and
  • tackling more of the topics that matter most to you

Thanks to some initial member input, we’ve already got a general idea of how this could work moving forward. This is your chance to let us know if we’ve got it right and really understand what members like you want and need moving forward.  

We’ll be keeping attendance numbers at the focus group low to allow for a better discussion. If we get more volunteers than we have room for, we’ll select names at random and we’ll do our best to ensure anyone not selected is given other opportunities to share their views.
