Heart of Gold Awards: nominate your colleague

Heart of Gold Awards, hosted by Railway Benefit Fund (RBF), celebrates those in the rail industry who have made a real difference in their workplace or community.

 

The charity’s annual Heart of Gold Awards is now open for nominations, with entries closing on 30 September.  

There are six categories to choose from, including the Lifetime Achievement Award, proudly sponsored by our scheme administrator, Railpen.   

The category awards 

  • Rising Star Award - someone relatively new to the rail industry who has already made a big impact      
  • Rail Hero Award – an unsung hero who’s acted with exceptional bravery or selflessness 
  • Wellbeing Champion Award - someone who goes above and beyond to improve the wellbeing of those around them   
  • Star Team Award – a group who have achieved amazing things together in the rail industry   
  • Inspirational Volunteer Award – individuals who have volunteered their time and energy to make a significant difference in people’s lives   
  • Lifetime Achievement Award – someone who has demonstrated their Heart of Gold throughout a long career in rail 

How to nominate your colleagues 

If this sounds like anyone you know who works in rail, you can nominate them now by visiting the RBF website. 

Nominations close on 30 September, and voting opens on 16 October. The winners will be announced in November.
