The RBF’s Heart of Gold awards recognise the dedication, compassion, and outstanding contributions of exceptional railway workers.
The awards were presented by Pete Waterman OBE, Charity President and Jo Kaye, CEO of RBF, at a ceremony hosted by Railpen at our London office. As a partner to the charity, Railpen, which provides administration and investment for the British Transport Police Force Superannuation Fund was delighted to sponsor the event.
Celebrating RBF’s mission to inspire future generations of railway people, the awards categories included ‘Rising Star’, ‘Rail Hero Worker’, Wellbeing Champion’, ‘Star Team’, Inspirational Volunteer’ and ‘Lifetime Achievement’. You can view a full list of the well-deserving winners.
If you’d like to show your support for the RBF, here’s how you can get involved:
The RBF’s annual campaign brings much-needed festive cheer to children of railway families currently facing financial hardship this Christmas. By donating a virtual decoration to the RBF’s Christmas tree, you can help provide children who need support with a £50 gift voucher, brightening their holiday season and lighting up their smiles on Christmas Day.
Railway Benefit Fund’s annual Christmas Shop continues to be a great destination for railway enthusiasts seeking unique gifts while actively supporting the railway community. As the final countdown to Christmas approaches, the shop remains open, offering a lifeline to families facing hardship this season.
RBF’s annual Christmas appeal, Three Christmas Wishes, calls on the entire railway community and the wider public to help support railway workers and their families facing financial and personal challenges.
